Full Court: Saturday 21st December
It is the Christmas of 1544 King Henry VIII and Queen Katheryn Parr invite you to experience Christmas traditions from the Royal Tudor Court! There will be dancing, merrymaking, magic, music and an audience with the King. Throughout the museum you will meet characters from Henry’s Court – Jesters, Courtiers, Musicians and Ladies in Waiting….
Learn to dance like a Tudor Lord and Lady, learn to courtesy and bow, discover what Tudor music sounded like, and find out what food the King would eat at Christmas and how the King’s Jester made the court laugh. Even meet the man himself – King Henry VIII!
Light’ Court: Sunday 22nd and Monday 23rd December
King Henry VIII and Queen Katheryn Parr invite you to experience Christmas traditions from the Royal Tudor Court! There will be dancing, music and merrymaking!
Join the court's Ladies in Waiting in Tudor Princess Etiquette, learn a traditional dance and join the King as he regales you with tales from his court.
Price: Free with a valid Mary Rose ticket.
