OCF webinar: Growing the youngest minds in a pandemic
Wednesday, June 30th, 2021
- 2:00pm - 3:00pm
- On Line Event, Zoom
Much of the media focus of the pandemic has been on schools, but children too young for school are at severe risk of being overlooked. Recent research shows that lockdowns have affected their development; but for them lockdown is their ‘normal’. The pandemic has exacerbated the pre-school disadvantage gap that already existed, and we know this will have an impact on their later educational attainment – but what do we need to do now to get back on track?
This session will look at how the charitable sector and other partnerships are adapting existing services and offering new ones, and explore what we need to do as a community to support families.
